26th March 2021 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: WSW Wind Stength: 20-30 knots Surf / Sea State: 3-4 foot surf Air Temperature: 7°C Sea Temperature: 8°C Weather: Sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered: Top session. Started earlier than planned as the sun was out, despite the fact that the wind was due to pick up. Well powered with my big 5.7m sail and 104ltr board but not quite enough to gain lots of ground upwind. Therefore blasted out to the Dyfi Bar and back for a while. Mike joined me on the water with a 9m kite and the wind filled in a little allowing me to head upwindand then blast all the way into Borth where Shem and a couple of others were out kiting. Wind eased a little once I got back to Ynyslas so headed in for a drink. Mike went home too. I went back out after a while but was now maxed out and at times slightly overpowered which led to some massive jumps. Rigged 5m and 85 ltr wave board for a final half hour well powered but more controllable. Sun was still shining so let kit dry on the grass before heading home. |
